Objectives

GECA is aimed at achieving the following objectives in three important arenas i.e. education, culture and social welfare.

A. EDUCATION

The Association will:

i. Give direction to and help students and youth in achieving their goals to become useful members of the society and excel in life at local, national and international levels.

ii. Provide guidance, counseling, information and assistance to the students, particularly girl students, in getting admission in educational institutions and hostels.

iii. Acquire land and establish educational institutions and hostels for the students streaming down from North.

iv. Generate resources and establish funds to help needy and talented students in meeting their educational needs.

v. Arrange seminars, workshops, lectures and special classes to enhance mental faculty for students and youth.

B. CULTURE

i. Provide a forum for the people of Gojal in understanding their culture, history and values.

ii. Organise cultural and entertainment programmes for community members.

iii. Arrange seminars, dialogue, lectures and conduct research on Wakhi people, their history, culture, language and folklores.

C. SOCIAL WELFARE

i. Generate resources and establish fund for providing assistance to needy people, especially patients, in meeting their medical and other needs.

ii. Organize and launch campaigns and camps on educational, social and health-related issues

iii. Create intra and inter communal harmony.

iv. Create social awareness among the new generation and involve them in positive activities like discussions, seminars, intellectual discourse, cultural and sports programmes.

v. Encourage sprit of volunteerism among the students and members to serve the community and the humanity at large.
